On the lake

  • Visit the dock just before sunrise.
  • Swim from the dock across Green Bay to Christmas’ dock and back (be sure someone goes with you in the canoe).
  • Paddle the canoe to Blue Jay Campsite and buy penny candy at the store there.
  • Picnic on the dock.
  • Cook out on the Point, and roast marshmallows as it gets dark.
  • Watercolor or take photographs of the changing light.

  • Golf
    Tupper Lake Golf & Country Club was established in 1932. The 6,250 yard, 18-hole course was designed by Donald Ross- and is situated in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, overlooking Tupper Lake.  Amenities include a fully stocked pro shop,teaching professional, driving range, power carts and full-service restaurant.

  • Tennis
    The Town of Tupper Lake offers free tennis courts at the Municipal Park located on Route 3 across from the McDonalds’s Restaurant.
    The Pine Terrace Motel on Route 30 has clay courts that are available for a fee.
  • Biking & Hiking
    Cross Country Skill trails near the Tupper Lake Golf & Country Club and the old Big Tupper Ski lodge are great for hiking and Mountain Biking. Of course the region is replete with wonderful one-day and overnight backpacking jaunts.
  • Little Wolf Beach
    Little Wolf Beach, situated on Little Wolf Lake, is owned & operated by the town. The facility features camping sites, a concession stand, and a playground for children. There is a large sandy beach & a shady picnic area with picnic tables & fireplaces. A patrolled swimming area is marked off. Red-Cross trained life-guards & swimming instructors are on duty during the summer months.
  • Tupper Lake Public Library
    Tupper Lake Public Library, serving an area of 6,300 residents, has a collection of 46,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 1,260 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 300 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.
